The Most Magical Place On Earth...
Whew! What a whirlwind weekend we had in Orlando! It was such AMAZING fun though! I can't wait to go again!
Disney World is my favorite place on earth! It always has been! How can anyone be in a bad mood at Walt Disney World for goodness sake!
Christopher had a such a wonderful time as well, however, he didn't realize that he was the entertainment for Mommy and Daddy most of the time! Watching his expressions and seeing the absolute joy on his face, filled my heart with such happiness. The best times were watching his face light up whenever he would see a favorite character for the first time. When he saw June, from Little Einsteins, he smiled so big and was trying hard not to smile, like a boy who is talking to a girl he has a crush on but doesn't want her to know. It was so cute. He was like all embarrassed because he has a crush on her. He did the same thing when he met Minnie Mouse.
We stayed at Coronado Springs Resort at Disney and I am so glad I thought to inquire about Character Dining during check in. We were able to share a meal at Liberty Tree Tavern with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto as well as the Chipmunks. So much fun!
Sea World was a blast also, even though they had to cancel the Shamu show, Believe, because one of the whales was cranky. We watched a little bit and then one of the trainers came out and gave us this big speech about how they can't tell an 8,000 pound whale what to do when she isn't feeling like performing. It was a female with a calf and I told Colin that she probably had PMS.
Christopher couldn't stop talking about sharks, whales and dolphins last week, but when we went inside "Shark Encounter", it was a different story! He took a look up at the fake sharks on the wall of the entrance, buried his face into Colin's neck and started saying "GO BYE-BYE! GO BYE-BYE!" He didn't care for the huge walrus either, but the rest was a blast!
We enjoyed a nice meal with Rob, Ann-Marie and Cooper on Sunday. It was really great to see them and chat. Even though I haven't seen Cooper since he was tiny, it was like only yesterday because I have been keeping up with his day-to-day life on Ann-Marie's blog. Christopher did not know WHAT to think about this little person. He was acting like "What in the world is THIS? And what do you expect me to do with it?"
I have been downloading and editing pictures all day. My eyes are crossing! I will download a slide show with a sampling of the 959,765,435 pictures that I took!! LOL

"Baby..Blue Hat!"
I was reading Meredith's blog today about Brody's shirt and decided to share Christopher's OCD about his blue hat and pink ball.
So, Christopher has this blue hat with flaps that we bought for the beach, but he has decided that he has to wear it 24/7...yes, even to bed. Not kidding. May God help us if we can't find it. I started tucking the flaps up underneath it, just so I could see his face more. Just scroll down and take a look at the pictures. You'll see in almost every single picture, he is wearing the blue hat.
It used to be blue hat, green boots and his pink ball. However, green boots were just getting WAY too stinky. They have been out on the back patio for weeks now; the bottoms filled with talc powder. Thankfully, he has forgotten about them.
He loves Clearwater Beach and has been asking to go to "sand park" for the last couple of days (ever since we left there on Sunday!) So, I've been thinking that would be a nice little outing for the two of us. You know, no biggie, just hop in the van and zip over to Clearwater Beach for an hour or two just to play on the playground.
Of course, I wouldn't have dared leave the house without blue hat and pink ball. But, Mr. Christopher decided today to put a new twist on his hat obsession which nearly drove me to insanity. He kept taking it off and then starting a meltdown because he wanted me to "fix blue hat". Naturally, he doesn't understand that mommy cannot just stop the car in the middle of three lanes of traffic, climb into the back seat and fix blue hat.
When I am able to move over to the right lane, I pull over and fix blue hat. And, we're off again; for about a half a mile. Off comes the hat. "Fix blue hat! Fix blue hat, FIX BLUE HAT!!!!!!!!!!" The legs are kicking and the tears are rolling. All the way to Clearwater beach and all the way home. Hat on, hat off.
Looks like I need to find a spot on the back patio now for "blue hat"!

"States"
CONGRATULATIONS to Britany for winning First Place on Floor and Bars as well as First Place All-Around at States on Sunday! I think it may have been her best All-Around score this season, which is quite a big deal to me since she was suffering with a head cold which included a fever! Go Brit! (See video top left side bar...)
